I'll admit to you that I'm not a big fan of walking the dog. I have just too many horror stories to tell.
· Like the time that my big boxer ran so fast down the road, pulling me behind, that I slammed nose first into a telephone pole.
· Like the time that my little chihuahua ran so fast that she fell right into a manhole, dangling on the end of my rope. Yes, I did manage to miraculously save her before her neck broke or before she was choked to death.
Mostly, though, I'm just not a big fan of doggie bodily waste. Call me squeamish, but I just cringe when I see or smell it.
So I suppose Scoopeeze is a product designed just for me. However, when their commercial proudly proclaimed, “You still have to scoop, but now you won't mind,” I was skeptical. I don't think there will ever be a time that I don't mind scooping doggie poop.
However, Scoopeeze does make it more bearable. Scoopeze is this portable waste pick-up device. It consists of two plastic semi-circles attached with a hinge. You use them to simply close the device around the doggie waste without ever touching it. The Scoopeeze comes with a biodegradable liner that is easy to dispose when the time comes. Until then, you don't see or smell the waste inside of this little poop trap. In fact, it attaches to your leash so that you can continue walking your dog until you come to a place where you can empty the Scoopeze.
What's amusing to me about the commercial, though, is that I never once saw them using it on anything that resembled doggie poop. I saw it demonstrated on things like rocks, blue clay, toy balls, etc. I have to tell you, I never once felt the need to scoop up a ball when I'm walking my dog.
Still, I'm impressed with Scoopeeze, because it makes dog-walking a less annoying thing to do. But you should still watch out for those manholes.
