LUGGEEZ: Infomercial Review

I'll grant you a couple of points. I'll grant that women are the ones who do more laundry than men in the house. I'll also grant that this probably means that we men are not the best experts on how laundry should be done. However, I have to say that the women shown in the infomercial for Luggeez might be doing something wrong. Every other woman that they show carrying a laundry basket somehow manages to spill their clothes all over the place. I'm fairly sure that I've never once spilled my dirty clothes while going to the washing room.

That's not to say that Luggeez is not a necessary thing to have. It's absolutely quite useful. If you haven't seen the commercial, let me bring you up to speed. Luggeez is this fabric garment thing with sleeves that you wear on your arms and that is able to contain a huge amount of laundry. It makes it simple to carry your clothes to and from the washing room without spilling anything. It also contains special pouches to hold things like your cell phone, fabric softener, and other small items. I was convinced as soon as I saw Luggeez that this was a great idea.

I wasn't quite so convinced, however, that it should be used for carrying vegetables, as they show the woman doing—carrying tomatoes, peppers and such from the garden. I kept thinking of people's smelly clothes and what might be rubbing off onto the vegetables. That's when my wife pointed out that the Luggeez themselves are also washed and dried.

Oh yeah. Duh. At any rate, this seems perfect for guys who do their own laundry, since no self-respecting man wants to be seen carrying a laundry basket. This seems like a much more macho way of carrying clothes. So I'm sold on Luggeez.
