KITTY BIN: Infomercial Review

Have you seen the commercial for that new product, Kitty Bin? Let me explain the concept and then give you my take on it. Kitty Bin is this storage container that allows you to keep your litter box clean, and empty it into the trash once a week rather than once or twice a day. This container holds the dirty litter without any smell leaking out or without even giving a visual clue of what's inside of it. We lazy people of the world rejoice at an innovation like this.

I can't help but think, however, that Kitty Bin was created by that little boy who never grew up, who was always storing things that appalled his mother when she found out. You know the boy I'm talking about. He had dead crickets and beetles that he stored in a box just because they looked neat. Or he had 20 clumps of bubble gum stuck to the bottom of his bed, so he could resume chewing it again in the morning. Or he hid that partially-eaten donut inside his toy chest so that he could come back and finish it later in the day--but forgot about it until two or three months later. That's the kind of person who would say "Hey let's make a container to store soiled kitty litter."

Even though many of you have an appalled look on your face right now, you secretly know how great of an idea that Kitty Bin is. You can owners who keep Kitty inside have gotten just as annoyed as I have at the mess that he can make. Kitty Bin helps relieve you of some of this stress, and a lot of mess, so it gets my high recommendation.
